3 Tips for Making Time for Regular Exercise During Your Busy College Years

When you’re in elementary school and high school, P.E. classes force you to stay active a few times a week. Things tend to change once you’re off to college and making time for working out is your own responsibility. If you’re struggling to do it because your schedule is already packed, these three useful tips will help you get it done.

Do What You Love

The best thing about working out outside of the school system is that you can do whatever you want to. Your P.E. teacher is no longer coming up with your workout routine—you are! Dancing, running, yoga, or Pilates. The options are pretty much endless and you can try them all until finding the one that suits you.

Short and Sweet

Your schedule will be pretty packed with studying and exams, so make time for exercise where you can instead of putting pressure on yourself to have a fixed workout schedule. There are a bunch of short and sweet workout videos on YouTube that you can complete in 10 or 20 minutes from the comfort of your dorm room.

Get Out

Your dorm room may be too tiny to work out inside it, but it’s not the only place where you can get some exercise in. Some colleges have gyms for students, but if that’s not the case with yours, you can always take a run around campus, exercise outside, or look for an affordable gym nearby.
