5 Spots Where You’re Probably Not Applying Sunscreen, But Should

Summer is just around the corner, and that means that SPF is about to become your new best friend. Applying – and reapplying! – sunscreen is the best thing you can do to protect yourself from harmful sun rays, and we’re here to remind you of five areas that often go overlooked.

Ears

Ears are probably the last thing on your mind when you’re applying sunscreen, but they’ll be left venerable even if you’re wearing a hat, so make sure to show them some SPF love.

Lips

Lips are very prone to sunburns, especially since most people forget to protect them properly. Luckily, lipstick and lip balms with SPF protection are getting more popular by the day and they’ll do a great job shielding your lips from the sun.

Hands

Most people neglect their hands when applying sunscreen, but keep in mind they’re not immune to sun damage and also require proper coverage.

Feet

You’ll most likely be wearing sandals and open-toed shoes this summer, so don’t forget that your toes and the top of your feet will be exposed to the sun while you’re outside.

Scalp

Most people wear hats in the summer to shield their scalps from the sun, but you should consider using spray or powder sunscreen if your head is going to be exposed while you’re outside.
