Bridgit Mendler is one of the former Disney stars with the most interesting career trajectory—which now includes a degree from an Ivy League university. The Good Luck Charlie actress recently revealed that she graduated from Harvard Law School with her law degree.
Mendler’s Harvard graduation news was confirmed with a clip that shows her accepting her diploma and shaking hands with two faculty members. She was joined by her four-year-old son, who was adopted in 2022.
Mendler completed a M.S. in media arts and sciences at MIT in 2020 before pursuing her Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Harvard. Her academic journey caused a lot of confusion online, but she clarified things on the social media platform X back in March.
“The PhD is something I started working towards in 2020 and I pursued it jointly with my law degree but when I moved to California last summer… I’ll still fight for it, but how it gets completed is up to the administration and my principal investigator and what they think is appropriate,” she wrote at the time.
Mendler served as the co-president of the Harvard Space Law Society from 2022 to 2023, and she’s now running her own start-up Northwood Space. Its main mission is to serve as the “data highway between Earth and space” and she founded it alongside her husband Griffin Cleverly.
