While ordering takeout may be a treat, it can get quite unhealthy. Fortunately, you can make your own delicious chicken fajitas while spending minimal time in the kitchen, enabling you to maintain your study schedule.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 sliced red onion
- 1 sliced red pepper
- 1 red chili
- 1 lime
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 tortillas
- 230 grams fresh salsa
- Tabasco
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C and wrap the tortillas in foil.
- In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic cloves, olive oil, lime, and 4 to 5 drops of Tabasco. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir the sliced chicken breasts, red pepper, red onion, and red chili into the marinade.
- Heat a pan and add chicken and marinade.
- Over high heat, move the chicken around consistently with tongs as you cook for 5 minutes until the chicken is charred.
- Place the tortillas in the oven and heat them up. When ready, serve with the chicken and marinade along with the fresh salsa.
