Make Your Own Chicken Fajitas in Minutes

While ordering takeout may be a treat, it can get quite unhealthy. Fortunately, you can make your own delicious chicken fajitas while spending minimal time in the kitchen, enabling you to maintain your study schedule.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 sliced red onion
  • 1 sliced red pepper
  • 1 red chili
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 tortillas
  • 230 grams fresh salsa
  • Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and wrap the tortillas in foil.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic cloves, olive oil, lime, and 4 to 5 drops of Tabasco. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir the sliced chicken breasts, red pepper, red onion, and red chili into the marinade.
  4. Heat a pan and add chicken and marinade.
  5. Over high heat, move the chicken around consistently with tongs as you cook for 5 minutes until the chicken is charred.
  6. Place the tortillas in the oven and heat them up. When ready, serve with the chicken and marinade along with the fresh salsa.
