Where Did the Lead Couple from “Bridgerton” Season 3 Go to School?

Bridgerton focuses on a different couple every season, and the latest chapter turned attention to the blooming romance between Colin and Penelope. If you’re in the mood to learn more about the actors playing them, we’re here with all the details about their academic journey.

Nicola Coughlan

Nicola Coughlan is no stranger to playing teens and young adults, but those years are long behind her. She fell in love with performing during the early 90s, when she was just five years old, and this passion shaped the rest of her journey at school and university.

She got a degree in English and Classicism from the National University in Galway, but truly found her footing during her time at the Oxford School of Drama and Birmingham School of Acting.

“I absolutely loved my time in Oxford and Birmingham. Applying to them is difficult and I don’t envy anyone trying to do it. When I got to Oxford it was like I had found my childhood dream, some of the people I met there are my best friends still,” she told Galway Advertiser.

Luke Newton

Luke Newton spent his childhood years at St Nicolas and St Mary’s Primary School, before resuming his education at the Northbrook College Sussex. He was briefly a member of the boy band called South 4 before deciding to pursue his passion for acting at the London School of Musical Theatre.

Newton didn’t always have an easy time in school due to his battle with dyslexia and ADHD, but they didn’t stop him from thriving as an actor.

“Growing up with dyslexia, I thought that I was never going to learn scripts. I think I’ve got things thing that I’ve learned and picked up throughout my career that are now staples in my routine, I’ve got coping mechanisms,” Newton told Refinery 29.
