The more comfortable and familiar you get with practice questions, the better off you will be taking the actual test. The best practice questions can be found from practice tests that are on the College Board’s website. Khan Academy has also teamed up with College Board and provides practice questions.

College Board updated the SAT in March of 2016, adding the feature that there is now no penalty for incorrect answers. Before, incorrect answers were penalized which lowered a lot of scores. Now, only correct answers are accounted for. It is very important that you answer every single question, even if you aren’t completely sure about it.

One last tip is to make sure you finish answering every question with enough time to re-check your work. You should aim at finishing each section with about 5-7 minutes remaining. Double check how you got each answer and make sure it’s correct.
