Olivia Rodrigo Opens Up About Her “Absolutely Terrifying” College Experience

Olivia Rodrigo was photographed attending a college class last year, and we finally know what it was like. The Grammy-winning star opened up about her college experience in a recent interview and admitted it was “absolutely terrifying”.

Rodrigo recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss her album Guts, her upcoming tour, and everything else in between. Her new album notably features a song titled “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” and the host couldn’t resist asking her if she ever attended an actual class.

Rodrigo told Kimmel she stopped going to a regular school when she was 12, but revealed she attended a class at the University of Southern California last year and described the experience as “absolutely terrifying”.

“You have these dreams where it’s the first day of school and you have no idea where to go and you don’t know anyone… I had that exact experience when I went to college last year. It was absolutely terrifying. I had no friends, didn’t know where to go and I actually walked into the wrong class,” said Rodrigo.

Despite the initial confusion, the young singer eventually found her footing in her poetry class and described it as “really cool”. She also revealed she conceived her song “Lacy” from her second studio album Guts in her poetry class.
