Returning to School After Summer

Going back to college after summer is really though. You have to get used to the new routine, to waking up early in the morning, to having the stress of papers to write or finals to deal with. Just take a deep breath and start with the little things.

Try to give yourself a week in between your holidays and the start of school, this will help you get prepared and better digest the transition.

Don’t look at the start of school as something terrible. You will be back to your dorm, to having fun with your roommates, you’ll see all the people you have missed during summer, you’ll go back to college parties and you’ll have a lot of new fun experiences.

Of course this comes with all the responsibilities regarding your classes.

Take it step by step and slowly you’ll get used again to reading all those books, sitting in class for hours and writing papers. Try to make a list of your goals, keep your head in the game. Don’t forget that as much as you enjoyed your vacation, now it’s time to get serious.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be any fun in your life until next summer, it just means that your priorities must change. And at the end of the day, after you have done what you had to…

Take a break and enjoy college life!
