Take a Step Back, Dont Strive for Perfection

Teens and adolescents nowadays are extremely focused. Whether their focus is on getting perfect grades in order to be considered for a scholarship or their focus is on achieving the most perfect highlight with their makeup look, there’s no stopping a teen or adolescent from doing everything they can to reach their ideal of perfection. With this strive for perfection, it is no wonder that teens and adolescents have been putting a ton of pressure on themselves.

With the ability to see everyone else’s achievements displayed across all forms of social media platforms and channels, these teens and adolescents continue to feel an increasing need to attain all of their lofty goals, educationally, physically, and mentally. There is so much pressure put on people to look a certain way, to behave a certain way, and to have a specific, elite degree in order to be considered successful.

Take a Step Back, Dont Strive for Perfection

Because of this, many of these young people put an absurd amount of stress on themselves and on others in order to cope with the strain of having a perfect body, being a premier job candidate, or even just getting an A on a test where the teacher purposefully makes it seemingly impossible to do so.

If you are one of these people who has fallen into the constant cycle of judging yourself and pushing yourself extremely hard in order to feel accepted by society and by yourself, it is time to take a step back, relax, and give yourself a bit of a break. You can achieve amazing things when you set your mind to doing so.

However, don’t forfeit your mental sanity to reach society’s perception of perfection.
