Where Did the Leading Duo of “Priscilla” Go to School?

Priscilla is one of the buzziest new films to premiere in theatres this fall, largely thanks to the performances of its stars Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi. If you’ve been wondering where they went to school before becoming movie stars, we’re here with all the info you need.

Cailee Spaeny

Cailee Spaeny was so determined to make it as an actor that her education had to take the back seat. She dropped out of school at the age of 13, and never really felt at home there.

“I was terrible in school, sort of a classic story. I couldn’t figure it out. I didn’t test well. I had anxiety there. I didn’t connect. I just knew my brain wasn’t going to work in that way. I wasn’t going to take the normal path that all my friends were taking,” she told Glamour.

Spaeny fell in love with acting thanks to her homeschool co-op and later went to Springfield Little Theatre. She was there six days a week, taking dance classes, vocal lessons, and acting classes, and convinced her mom to take her to auditions in LA whenever possible.

Jacob Elordi

Euphoria and The Kissing Booth star Elordi attended the secondary schools of St. Kevin’s College in Melbourne and of St Joseph’s College, Nudgee in Brisbane in his youth, but he never really thrived academically. He knew he wanted to be an actor from a young age, and devoured books about film and biographies of famous Hollywood stars before becoming one himself.

“I didn’t finish university, I barely finished high school. All I know is from the books I’ve read, and the plays that I’ve read,” he told GQ.
