Halle Bailey
Bailey balanced high school and her singing career until graduating in 2018, but college wasn’t in the cards for her—yet. Before landing the lead role in The Little Mermaid, she was too busy performing with her sister as a part of the musical duo Chloe x Halle.
Jonah Hauer-King
Jonah Hauer-King embarked on quite an interesting academic journey before being cast as Prince Eric. The English actor attended Eton College and went on to graduate with a first-class degree in theology and religious studies at St John’s College, Cambridge. He was juggling acting with his studies and eventually decided to pursue a career in Hollywood.
Awkwafina
Awkwafina, who voices Scuttle in The Little Mermaid, found success as a rapper and comedian over the course of the last decade, but she attended college before her rise to prominence. She graduated with a degree in journalism and women’s studies at the University at Albany (The State University of New York) back in 2011.
