Who doesn’t love pizza? Gooey cheese, tangy sauce, and endless topping possibilities make it a crowd-pleasing favorite. But delivery can be pricey, and takeout isn’t always the healthiest option. Luckily, creating delicious homemade pizza is surprisingly easy! Here’s a quick and simple version that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

For the Dough (makes 1 medium pizza):

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (105°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, sausage, vegetables, etc.)
  • Optional: Dried oregano, red pepper flakes

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring to form dough. Knead on a floured surface until smooth, 5-7 minutes, adding flour if sticky.
  2. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  4. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface, then transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  5. Top with sauce, leaving a border, and add cheese and toppings.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool slightly, then slice and enjoy with any additional spices!
